13x4 Wig, also know as a 13x4 lace frontal wig

The “13” (13 inches) represents the width of the lace, from ear to ear, and the “4” (4 inches) represents the depth of the lace from the hairline towards the back of the head. This is designed to mimic a natural hairline, offering versatility in styling and a realistic look. It offers a balance of natural look and styling versatility, a popular choice for those seeking realistic and customisable options. The lace is primarily in the front of the wig, creating a natural-looking hairline. It allows for various parting styles. It gives the illusion of hair growing directly from the scalp, enhancing the wig’s realism. The lace is typically thin and breathable, providing comfort.

Hair Grade

Is used to indicate hair quality, with higher numbers generally signifying better quality. A key factor differentiating these grades is the proportion of shorter hairs in a bundle, with higher grades having a smaller percentage. While higher grades like 12A and 15A offering greater durability and a smoother, shinier appearance compared to 10A

10A
Representing good quality, durable hair with a smooth texture. A popular choice for those seeking a balance between quality and affordability.

 12A
Boasts increased durability, thickness, and a longer-lasting luster. It tends to be more resistant to tangling and shedding compared to 10A.

Remy Hair

Human hair with the cuticle intact and aligned in the same direction. Remy hair can be dyed or permed but still retains a natural look due to the cuticle alignment and helps prevent tangling and matting. If you want high-quality hair that may have been processed but still has a natural look and feel, choose Remy hair.

Single Drawn vs Double Drawn Bundles/Extensions

Single Drawn Hair
Contains a mix of hair lengths, with a significant portion of shorter hair mixed with longer ones. This leads to a tapered look, where the extensions are thickest at the root and gradually become thinner towards the ends. Offering a more natural, tapered look. Generally less expensive due to the lower ration of full-length hairs. A popular choice for hair extensions, offering a natural look and feel.

Double Drawn Hair
Contains a higher percentage of hairs that are the same length, resulting in a more consistent thickness throughout the bundle. It has a fullness of about 50-70% Provides a fuller, thicker look from top to bottom, mimicking the appearance of healthy, natural hair. More expensive than single drawn hair due to process required to remove the shorter hair. Higher quality due to the consistent thickness and fullness.

Lace

Transparent lace
Extremely thin and virtually invisible, making it ideal for a flawless, undetectable hairline, blending seamlessly with any skin tone. More durable and can withstand more wear and tear. Typically more affordable, but may require more effort to achieve a seamless blend, especially for darker skin tones.

Swiss lace
Slightly thicker than Transparent lace. Blends well with lighter skin tones, it may require tinting for darker complexions. May require more blending with makeup or lace tint to achieve a truly seamless look compared to Transparent lace. Perfect for everyday wearers who prioritize durability and ease of handling, as well as those on a tighter budget.
